The Mep Stand where Stephen was representing NPLIN 2003 Stephen was invited to Milan to the EMO MILANO a Metal Industry Expo and represented N. Ireland at the MEP stand.
Visitors from 104 countries set new records, confirming the standing and importance of Italy as a hub for world manufacturing. The world machine tool show, EMO MILANO 2003, was held in the Milan Fairgrounds from 21 to 28 October, back in the Lombard capital after an 8-year absence. Sponsored by CECIMO, the Committee for European Cooperation of the Machine Tool Industries, the event was organized by the operating structures of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the association of Italian machine tool, robots and automation manufacturers.
With more than 50,000 visitors in the first three days Stephen was kept busy demonstrating the machines to interested delegates. The atmosphere was great at the show with 1600 exbithors in 25 pavilions there was plenty to do and see.
Having already forged strong working relationships with MEP, Stephen visited the factory to see the machines being made and to test some new machinery Mep had developed. At the stand the SHARK 500 CNCFE, SHARK 452 CCS were on show demonstrated by Stephen, accompanied by David ( main service engineer) to a large number of interested parties.
